USHL: Late goal gives Lancers 4th straight win
Team USA, which dropped to 0-9-1, tied the game midway through the third thanks to Blake Pietila's goal on the man advantage six minutes into the period. But a two-minute tripping penalty put the Lancers (7-1-0) on the power play, and Eveland netted the unassisted game-winner with less than four minutes remaining for Omaha's fourth straight win.
Colin Markison and Erik Haula also scored for Omaha while Jeff Teglia added 27 saves. The Lancers take on Team USA again tonight - this time the Under-18 squad instead of the Under-17 team they faced Thursday - at 6:05.
