Blood on the ice and laying still, so it looked pretty bad. They announced that it didn't appear an artery was cut, but didn't know how bad yet. As happens so often, their goalie going down seemed to light a fire under DU. |

I was at the game live and in person, saw it up close, too close!! Seemed most fans in the stands missed how he got hurt but I could tell right away he got
gashed by a skate. Plenty of blood for sure. Taken off on a stretcher. DU player turned the Minnesota State player right in Cheverie and got a penality for
it.
On a side note got to hang with Joe Colborne's (1st round NHL draft pick) mother (Janice) and father (Paul) after the game. Just the three of us talking in the middle of the hallway sharing popcorn for about 20 minutes! Gmfla and I got to meet Paul last spring after a CC at DU game and tonight Paul remembered me and bought me a beer after the first period. After the game I simply ran into him again and there we were just chit chatting away, Jance, Paul and I. DU fans were scared of my CC jersey (or me) tonight as they gave me no crap at all. Well for the most part no crap, any crap the gave me I gave right back to them (chickens). Saw one CC fan (Mac) but he was too chicken too to wear his CC jersey. DU fans have gotten wimpy!! By the way Paul Colborne (I'm serious) gave me his business card so I got his number now!! We will be in touch with one another. Paul and Janice were great, I owe Paul a beer.
Denver University is so loaded for the 09/10 season that if they do not win the National Championship it will be a major embarrassment to their team and their
fans!! I hope DU and their fans (all four of them) feel the pressure!!
CC NORTH (aka Magness Arena on the campus of Denver University) where the Colorado College Tigers are 13-6-2 all time against the Denver Pioneers. Thank you DU for building a second home for CC!! Announcer says: "Visiting team, full strength". CC fans reply: "And you still suck". "THE CC FAN" yells out: "And so does DU". Section 218 bursts out in laughter and agreement. Why? Because DU was not even in the building and they still sucked!!

The main reason I'm checking in is to let you all know that, in case you need a CC hockey fix, I have started to build up a list of game highlight links on the blog site. I have several games on DVD from recent years, and I'm going to try to youtube-ize highlights from them as time permits. See the list on the left side of the page; two so far, and I hope to add about one a week, so keep watching for new ones. And if anyone else happens to have some and does the same, let me know, and I'll be glad to add a link. Or if you'd like to contribute a write-up, just email me.
